Syracuse, Boeheim Continue to Roll
by Cody Clark ~ December 11th, 2009.Led by Rick Jackson’s 21 point and 11 rebound performance, the Orange dispatched yet another ranked team as they defeated the #11 ranked Florida Gators 85-73 as head Coach Jim Boeheim grabbed his 808th career victory. Syracuse has now defeated three ranked teams this year; they dispatched #12 California by 22 points led by Scoop Jardine’s 22 points, they traveled to North Carolina and used a 22-1 run to pound then #4 UNC by 16, and they beat a solid Florida team last night by 12. The Orange sit at #6 in the polls now at 9-0, and with games coming up against St. Francis, St. Bonaventure, and Oakland, it looks as if the Cuse will begin the season with an impressive 12-0 record.
