Quarterback Killers

by Cody Clark ~ December 22nd, 2009.

With Brady Quinn suffering a season ending injury, the Kansas City Chiefs have knocked out yet another NFL quarterback. As Quinn scrambled for a 24 yard gain in the final stanza, he was tripped up by the Chiefs near the sideline and was not able to finish the game as he suffered an undisclosed foot injury. This injury runs Kansas City’s quarterback knockout number to 4 in the past 2 years, with the most notable being Patriot quarterback Tom Brady last year by safety Bernard Pollard. (Of which the league made the what is now referred to as the Brady rule; you can not hit the quarterback below the knees.) The Kansas City defense picked up where they left off last year as quarterbacks who face the Chiefs continue to drop like flies. This year, Kansas City has dropped three quarterbacks, with the first coming in Week 11 against the Steelers where they knocked out Ben Roethlisberger and veteran backup Charlie Batch in one game. Big Ben was knocked out in the overtime period, and Batch was knocked out 6 snaps later with a wrist injury. The final injury came Sunday against the Browns, where they punched out Brady Quinn in the fourth quarter of a 41-34 loss. Whether pre-meditated or not, if you are an NFL quarterback right now and get the Chiefs in one of the final two games you have to be at least thinking about these knockouts, no matter how sorry the Chiefs continue to be.

One fo my all time favorites was Prince slamming his electric guitar in the rain in Miami. The Who was pretty weak, but to their defense they are old as dirt
