MLB Second Half Predictions

by Cody Clark ~ July 16th, 2009.

The second half of this years MLB baseball season is going to be a very interesting one. With the excitement of the Triple Crown and batting title races fueling the rivalries and many different division races within a few games of each other, the second half is going to be one of the more interesting ones in recent years. (Especially with unexpected teams such as the Giants, and the Tigers in the lead for the division or at least within striking distance.

American League: I believe that it is going to be Boston in the East, Texas in the West , and Detroit in the Central with the Yankees grabbing the Wild Card and all of these races are going to very competitive down the stretch.

National League: I think it is going to be Philly in the East, the Cards in the Central, and the Dodgers in the West with the Giants grabbing the Wild Card spot and, like the American League races, are going to be very competitive down to the final months of the season.

My predictions for the playoffs have the League Championship matchups between the Red Sox vs. Texas and in the NL the Dodgers vs. St. Louis. For the World Series I think that it is going to be The Boston Red Sox and the Los Angeles Dodgers with the Sox winning the series 4-3.
