MLB, Here I Come!
by Cody Clark ~ June 23rd, 2009.Bryce Harper, a 6′ 3″ 205 lbs high school sophomore at Las Vegas High School, has at least one thing going for him; professional baseball. The now 16 yr. old catcher is a highly touted prospect that can also pitch and has a 96 mph heater. He is a student-athlete, just as many people are, but this kid has the potential to be the next big thing in the MLB. Has has good grades (a 3.5 GPA), but do you think that he is actually thinking about his homework? I think he does what he has to do, but baseball is probably his life. (Scott Boras is already his agent; that tell you anything?) Anyone who can throw 96 mph, hit a homerun 570 feet (or of the back wall at Tropicana), and is only sixteen years old has a pretty bright future in sports. He plans to get his GED and enroll in a junior college so he can be eligible for the MLB draft next summer. (Rather than the summer of 2011) Look for Harper to be like a Matt Weiters, just with less time spent in the minor leagues.

Excellent! If I could write like this I would be well pleased. The more I read articles of such quality as this (which is rare), the more I think there might be a future for the Net. Keep it up, as it were.
