LaMichael James Runs Oregon into Rose Bowl
by Cody Clark ~ December 5th, 2009.With a 25 carry, 166 yard, three touchdown performance, Oregon Duck’s running back LaMichael James ran wild on the Beavers’ defense as the Ducks clinched their first Rose Bowl appearance since the 1994 season. In the first quarter, the teams put up 24 points. Oregon State dominated the second quarter as they scored 13 points to take a 23-21 lead to the break. The second half sponsored two rushingouchdowns from LeGarrette Blount and LaMichael James and a field goal for the Ducks as they scored 16 second half points as they beat the Beavers in the 2009 Civil War 37-33. The 10-2 Oregon Ducks have a trip to the 2010 Rose Bowl next up on the schedule, and if they can win that game, they will probably be looking at least at an end of the season top 6 after the bowl game.
