Cutler, Aromashadu Outduel Favre, Rice

by Cody Clark ~ December 29th, 2009.

With incredibly stellar performances from quarterback Jay Cutler and wide out Devin Aromashadu, the Chicago Bears outlasted the fading Vikings 36-30 in overtime. Cutler and co. led the Viks 16-0 at halftime, but Minnesota used a 27-14 run to tie the game on a Sydney Rice touchdown catch with 16 seconds left in the game. The Vikings grabbed the first possession of overtime, but Bears linebacker Hunter Hillenmeyer forced an Adrian Peterson fumble and the Bears got it back. After 9 minutes of overtime, Jay Cutler hooked up with Aromashadu on a 39 yard touchdown pass to win the game. The Vikings are now sitting at 11-4 and are rapidly losing momentum as they continue to drop games down the stretch and slip to a lower and lower seed.
