- I think that the Red Sox take game 3 to stay alive in the best of five playoff series with the Angels. (Record: 10-4)
Football and Baseball Picks for October 10, 2009
- Baseball tonight between the Cardinals and the Dodgers as the Dodgers have a two game lead in the series after the Cardinals and Matt Holiday blew the game. I like the Cards in this one behind the solid arm of starter Joel Piniero.
- Week 6 in College Football features some marquee games with 3 Alabama @ 20 Ole Miss, 25 South Carolina vs. Kentucky, 17 Auburn @ Arkansas, Florida @ LSU, and Michigan @ Iowa. Playoff Baseball Picks for October 7, 2009
- Tonight is the first slate of games in the 2009 MLB playoffs. The first round march ups occurring today are the Twins at the Yankees, the Rockies @ the Phillies, and the Cardinals vs. the Dodgers. In the Twins vs. Yanks game, the Twins come in fresh off a 12 inning win in the play in the game with the Tigers and this can either hurt or help Minnesota and I think that it is going to hurt them seeing as the Yanks chose to play today instead of tomorrow so as to get a leg up on the tired Twins. In the other games, I expect Philly and the Cardinals all to start their postseasons off with 1-0 records. (Record: 2-1)
Baseball Picks for October 6, 2009
- Tonight marks the 163rd game of the regular season. Yes you heard correctly. The Detroit Tigers and the Minnesota Twins finished the season tied atop the AL central at 86-76. This is the play in game to decide who gets into the playoffs to face the Yanks and I think that the Twins will take this game in the wake of the controversy of where it should be played due to last night’s football game. (Record: 1-0)

Baseball and Football Picks for September 28, 2009
- Tonight is the Monday Night Football showdown between the 1-1 Dallas Cowboys and the 0-2 Carolina Panthers. The Cowboys are looking for their first win in the new stadium, and I believe that they get it tonight against the Panthers by at least a score.

Baseball and Football Picks for September 27, 2009
- More baseball today! I presume the winners to be Boston, the Dodgers, the Cardinals, the Angels, the Braves, the White Sox, and the Phillies in the games featuring possible playoff teams.
- Time for week 3 in the NFL! There a few good games this week, like Colts @ Cards, Cowboys vs. Panthers, and the Falcons @ the Patriots. My winners this week are the Steelers, Chargers, Ravens, New England, Jacksonville, Jets, Minnesota, Packers, Redskins, Colts, Eagles, Giants, and Broncos. (Record: 16-5)
College Football Picks for September 26, 2009
- Today’s slate of college football features some really good, meaningful games. Some of these include Miami @ Va. Tech, Texas Tech @ Houston, NC @ Ga. Tech, and TCU @ Clemson. These are a few of the marquee match-ups set to go today, and there are many other games also, including Florida State vs. USF and Iowa @ Penn State.
- My winners for today are: Texas, Boise State, Miami (in a great game), USC, Oklahoma State, Florida State, Kansas, TCU, Florida, Ohio State, LSU, Cincinatti, Ga. Tech, Wiconsin, Michigan, California, Texas Tech, Penn State, and Alabama. (Record: 15-5)
Baseball Picks for September 25, 2009
- Another slate of baseball games kicks off tonight as some of the key match-ups include Boston @ the Yankees and the Cubs @ the Giants. Boston is coming in as one of the hottest teams, while the Yankees have faltered a bit down the stretch, so look for the BoSoxto continue their success as they sneak past the Yankees tonight. My other predicted winners? The Cards, Phillies, Twins, Cubs, Braves, and the Dodgers each take their games as they each try and get something started before the playoffs. (Record: 3-4)
Baseball and Football Picks for September 24, 2009
- Tonight is the much anticipated SEC showdown between the Mississippi Rebels and the South Carolina Gamecocks. I think that it is going to be a closer game than some might think. Ole Miss is a little overrated sitting at the 4 spot in the polls, and I think that Carolina is going to make a game of it, but it will not be enough as the Rebels sneak past the Gamecocks 30-21.
- There are some not so significant baseball games being played tonight, but I am going to take a stab at picking them anyway. There is Boston playing the Royals as well as the Dodgers facing off against the Nationals. In today’s/tonight’s games, look for Boston, the Dodgers, Detroit, Philly, and the Reds to win as the 2009 playoffs loom. (Record: 5-1)
Baseball Picks for September 22, 2009:
- The Red Sox look to improve to 9-3 over their last 11 after the tough loss to the Royals. Although they face Zach Greinke, the Royals ace, I believe that they find a way to pull out a win 5-2 as they look to further distance themselves from the Rangers in the wild card race.
- The Yankees are 4-6 in their last 10 games and are slipping and sliding their way into the playoffs as the end of the season nears. They throw chad Gaudin out to the mound tonight to face the powerful Angels line-up and I think that the lineup gets to Gaudin as the Yankees fall 6-2 and go to 4-7 over their last 11. (Record: 0-2)
