Central Michigan Steals Double Overtime Thriller

by Cody Clark ~ January 7th, 2010.

For the last time, senior quarterback Den LeFevour donned his Central Michigan Chippewa jersey and led his troops against Troy Trojans last night in the GMAC Bowl. The offense struggled a bit at first as they only scored 9 first half points, but picked it up when it counted; the second half and overtime. After throwing for 183 yards in the first half, LeFevour tossed one touchdown and also rushed for one while amassing 212 passing yards in the second half as well as the overtime period. With his 407 total yards, Dan passed Graham Harrell on the NCAA’s all-time career yardage list and know sits at second with 15,898 behind Hawaii’s former quarterback Timmy Chang. LeFevour will probably enter the NFL Draft, and I think that though a little undersized at 6′3″, a team will take a chance on him in the final few rounds of the draft and he may turn out to be a decent quarterback for the team that does take him.
