2,000th Win a Breeze for Kentucky
by Cody Clark ~ December 21st, 2009.With their 88-44 trouncing of the Drexel Dragons in Rupp Arena, the Kentucky Wildcats men’s basketball team became the first team in NCAA history to reach the 2,000 win platform. The program now sits at 2,000-635-1 all time and is 12-0 on the season. DeMarcus Cousins paced the Wildcats with 18 points and 13 rebounds, and Patrick Patteron also added 18 with John Wall contributing 16 more for Kentucky as they rolled to their 12th win of the season. Kentucky now sits at 12-0 in the number three spot in the polls, but will face challenges coming up as they have to face off against solid teams such as Louisville, Florida, Georgia, and South Carolina.
